Nutrition Education Program: Color It Up With Food

A few individuals contend that the general public is extremely diverse, and the County is prone to obesity, overweight, poor dietary practices, and diabetes. Even though despite the well-known fact that Baby Boomers Generation suffer from obesity-related conditions. Certainty Baby Boomers experience the ill effects of obesity-related conditions, almost 66% of DeKalb County boomers are overweight or obese due to it. There was an estimated 76 million Americans born between 1946 and 1964, known as the Baby Boomer Generation. They make up almost 40 percent of the nation’s population. In DeKalb County, Georgia, Baby-Boomers are a rapidly growing population, and many boomers suffer from an obesity-related condition weight. Introduction.

Furthermore a Non-Governmental Organization will be committed to education and advocacy for better health. Color It Up with Foods will assist baby boomers in acquiring the knowledge, skills, attitudes, and changed-behavior necessary for nutritionally sound diets. The program will contribute to baby-boomers personal development and their improvement of physical activity and nutritional well-being.

Color it Up with Foods aims to emphasize the relationship between nutrition, physical activity, and health with an emphasis on the nutritional needs of baby-boomers in DeKalb County. Eventually to help boomers recognize the connection between good eating habits and disease prevention. In this situation, Their hope is to promote an understanding of the fundamental principles of healthy eating and provide social support for improved nutrition and physical activity. At this time we now know health and nutrition interventions can prevent and help manage chronic health
