One of the facts that people always tend to bring up is the fact that in the United States of America you cannot legally drink alcohol until you are 21, and they believe that this means that the age of responsibility is 21. Nevertheless, the fact that you cannot drink until the age of 21 is entirely true, but the opinion that you are not responsible until this age just because you cannot drink alcohol is entirely false. At the age of 18, you are able to make a governmental decision and cast a vote that will change how our entire country is run as a whole. Just because a person cannot consume alcohol, that does not mean that they cannot be a responsible adult. Notably, there are some 18 year olds who are not responsible and should not be considered adults, but there are also 25-30 year olds who are extremely immature, it just depends on the person. Ultimately, most people end up becoming responsible by the age of 18, so in my opinion the claim that people are not mature until the age of 21 since that is the legal age at which an individual can consume alcohol is entirely
