Many victims want justice for the crimes committed against them, but how do you punish for psychological damage, including the nightmares, the trust issues, the self-blaming, and feeling that their body betrayed them in the reaction that it gave(joyfullheartfoundation.org). Getting the death penalty is too easy. They live in jail where they can boast about what they did to the victim, where they see what happened as a good thing while the victim is living in that moment repeatedly.
