For a child to be diagnosed with Asperger 's they have to show at least two of the following; difficulty with facial expressions or gaze, failure to develop relationships with their peers, lack of desire to communicate with others, or failure to reciprocate emotionally/physically. They must also show at least one of the following; intense preoccupation with a narrow interest, rigid insistence on seemingly pointless things, repetitive movements, or infatuation with parts of an object (Asperger 's Syndrome- The family Health Guide). Asperger 's Syndrome has also been known to cause mental disorders in children as well. This test test the child 's behavioral history, their symptoms, communication skills, social competence, and their brain function. Once the doctors perform the evaluation test there is a number of treatments available. The first one is parent education and training. This treatment deals with educating caregivers about the child 's strengths and deficits and incorporating treatments such as social skills and behavior training into their everyday life. Next is social & speech skill therapy. Even though children with either syndrome may have strong language skills, they may still need to learn how to properly express their emotions appropriately. This includes teaching them how to speak in a monotone voice, make eye contact and also use hand gestures. There 's also cognitive behavior therapy. This treatment is mainly used to help regular a patient 's emotions and gain muscle control. The main key in this therapy is to change how thinking is processed when it comes to making decisions. Another treatment is applied behavior therapy. This therapy consist of rewards and punishment for wanted and unwanted behavior. This treatment is usually not understood until results are
