My parents lived with my father's parents for quite some time, about a couple years. I was already born and by the time, if I remember correctly, by the age of 5, my parents moved out and started living independently or according to anthropologies terminology, my parents transitioned from a patrilocal residence to a neolocal residence. My family’s kinship network consisted of two networks; fictive kin and nurture kinship. Fictive kinship is when a family is related through blood and by marriage, a nurture kinship is when human relationships are strengthened or made when one another nurture or take care of an individual. For example, usual interactions between a mother or guardian of a child. My family consists mainly of a fictive and nurture kinship style, where many of my family members tend to nurture one another's offspring, when my matrilineal aunt would go to work and her husband (uncle) she would have to drop off her children off to my grandmas or my mother's house in order to take care of them, this went on for about a couple of years as soon as she fixed her hours due to work. My family overall, does not contain the birth of twins or fraternal twins, ironically though, my family tends to plan out the births of their children because of physical or financial reasons.
