The theater in the 1950s was a big hit for America’s people, but what people really loved about the movies in the 1950s was the drive in movie theatres, this was a great place to bring someone on a date to because it was one of the most popular things to do at this time, but different age groups did different things.
Young children would usually play on the playground, watch television for a certain amount of time, or use their plain old imagination. Sports did a big number on people In the 1950s people all around the country watched sports, most sports were aired on television for people to watch, one of the most exciting sports to watch was NFL football. NFL football was a major hit people came to watch NFL games live, most of the time the games were sold out. What made the NFL exciting back in the day there was no rules so the fans could watch players beat each other down without getting in trouble. Players were allowed to hit each other head to head, were allowed to hit players when they were not looking or didn’t have anything to do with the play. Player’s protection was very limited which made every hit look dramatic and caused a lot of injuries but this made the game more exciting for the people which made the NFL a lot more money as the time went
