After the English 1302 online, I have learned many new things. I can use these things for future purpose, such as writing assignment for next classes.
At first, I think this class is kind of easy to pass since I have already taken the English 1301; I consider these two are the same. However, I make some mistakes, the English 1302 requires me to synthesize information which I have never done before. This is harsh for me to do since I can only get information from the teacher, and I actually have never done anything like this. I got the lower grade at the beginning of class. Still, the thing is changing as I go further. The grade got better and better, and now I have useful experiences through writing. Further, The research argument is so much different which what I thought. I

However, integrating it in the paper is so much different. In the English 1301, I just need to paraphrase more than using my own words. But in the research argument, I have to take a stand and prove it with my own words. I got problem when integrating source as well as the way I used it as evidence to support my thesis. The grader said I know how to use source but the way I integrating it in the paper is a mess. I should clarify and make it clearer for them to understand what I meant.
The writing in English 1302 helps me a lot on writing in the POLS 1301. This course actually requires a lot writing, synthesizing and analysis the content. I use the skills I got in English 1302 to write these paper which gives me good grade.
So far, I have enjoyed all the moment I have asked to write through English 1302. This paper provides new experiences in the way I write. It is much different with the old style I used to write. Now, I go to depth when I write something rather than the visual outside. I can use thing incredible skills on the future

Needless to say that I failed miserably at my first draft; it was not my style of writing. I was quite dejected when I received my graded work; I received a C, and my instructor had made numerous comments and recommendations in the margins, with a final note at the end of the last paragraph that she was willing to accept a revision. I laboured on the revision for an entire week, constantly reviewing my notes on the various key terms and points for analyzing arguments that my instructor had spoken about in class and. I was also required, further in the semester, to do an exploratory attachment of the article, by applying the Stasis theory and the Toulmin strategy in a bid to determine whether or not Steinem’s argument was valid. By the end of the end of the revision and the completion of the other paper, I had a better understanding of rhetorical strategies and what makes an argument valid.…

In Jean-Luc Nancy’s text “Listening”, Nancy discusses the concept of listening and how it relates to philosophy. Originally published in French and translated into English by Charlotte Mandell, Mandell discusses in the first section of the text how difficult it was to convey and translate Nancy’s message into English. In Luce Irigaray’s text “Listening, Thinking, Teaching”, she discusses the idea of translation and how difficult it can be to translate properly. On page 232 of her text, Irigaray states “words are endowed with another meaning in each language” (Irigaray 232). Because each word has a different meaning in each language, errors often occur when words are translated.…

Introduction: The curriculum for English 1320 calls for a primary textbook that teaches students writing techniques along with helping students improve their writing skills. The primary textbook used for this class is Ancient Rhetorics for Contemporary Students (ARCS). This textbook goes into great detail about the writing techniques used by the great writers of the past, but the problem lies in that this book provides no help in actually teaching the students different ways to improve their writing. This book overall seems as if it only provides definitions and overall it is difficult to understand.…

Everyone hates English class is what I thought before taking English 102. However, that may have been the case before I entered Dr. Byrd’s domain, but after finishing the class I have come to the realization that English class can be greatly resourceful. English 102 this year has had its ups and downs, and I must admit the ups outweigh the downs. Meaning, this year, I have learned that I am not a student who wants to read or write, but through reading and writing my mind and skill sets concerning English have grown. During English 102 this year, reading and writing in class helped me expand my writing skills, improved my will to comprehend, and most importantly helped expand my knowledge.…

Self-Evaluation Essay Little did I know that I was going to learn a lot more than I thought throughout the semester in ENGL 1433. I began the course dreading reading and writing. I just wanted to be done with the class before the class began and go back to science classes. I never have considered myself a good writer or someone who was good at analyzing literature, it was never something I enjoyed. Despite these initial thoughts and preconceived notions, I did, for the most part, enjoy the class.…
