I recently graduated with an engineering degree in Engineering Science (B.S.) from Pennsylvania State University. The future career path options that are promising for my skill set in Aerospace Engineering Companies for full-time employment opportunities. I am looking for an engineering career that involves development, process, testing, and failure analysis. The Engineering Science Degree allows me to expand my engineering knowledge across several engineering fields which includes Aerospace Engineering areas, Fracture Mechanics (also statistical like mean time before failure), Applied and Experimental Stress Analysis, Material Processes (metal, ceramic, and composite), …show more content…
I have had applied experience with Electrical Resistance Strain-Gage measurements with an MTS 810 Servo-Hydraulic Loading Frame with 647 Hydraulic Wedge Grip for ASTM D3039 and ASTM D3518 and a Transmission Polariscope. With a failure analysis and materials background, I took courses dedicated to understanding the development of composites and metals. Some composite fabrication methods that were taught includes Wet Lay-up, RTM, VARTM, Autoclave Processing, Out of Autoclave (Prepreg), and Automated Manufacturing. I have had experience with Sandwich Construction, Secondary Bonding, Wet lay-up and VARTM which constructed airfoils of a section from an aircraft wing. Then applying knowledge from my previous courses, my thesis project developed to utilize Ultrasonic Guided Waves to detect flaws in composites and other material structures such as the airfoil that I constructed from Wet Lay-up Fabrication. I choose Ultrasonic Guided Waves detection of flaws in composite structures as my thesis project due to the rapidly changing material choices in aircraft from metals to composites. Throughout the development of my thesis and courses, I began to learn about the importance of

When I am attending to college the major I plan to studying under is aerospace engineering. What is aerospace engineering you why ask well its major that is offered in some colleges that concentrates on a single area of the field, such as propulsion systems, flight mechanics, guidance and control systems, aerodynamics or robotics. The reason why I was inspired to choose this major is because I always wanted to become an engineer when I was a little and this was also the only engineering major that grabbed my attention from other engineering majors that are offered since I would be able to work with the US military on aircrafts and missiles. I stumbled upon this major when I was researching at my high school on what type of engineer that I wanted…

I have done the hard work, and I have succeeded in getting my bachelor degree in Civil Engineering from Umm Al-Qura University in Mecca, Saudi Arabia after a long pedagogic journey. And yet, notwithstanding all that hard work, I am still not an excellent engineer I know I could become in the future.…
