Scene- A small Café by the road. It is sparsely occupied. FRANK is seated on a chair adjacent to the window pane overlooking the road. RAHEL is facing FRANK, on the opposite seat. FRANK is staring at a coffee mug on the table.
RAHEL
(Reaching her hand out to hold FRANK’s)
Is something the matter?

FRANK
(Raising his eyes to meet hers and shifting in his chair)
Nothing sweetheart. Just work.

RAHEL
Oh, I thought it had something to do with that wife of yours.

FRANK You don’t have to worry about her. Besides, I think she knows about us. In fact, she might have known for a long time.
(He goes back to staring at the coffee mug. His phone gives a ring. He takes it out of his pocket. It’s a new message. He is a bit startled by the message)
Sweetheart,

This is seen in the case of Rahel. The whole scene is based on this one fact. Rahel knows that Frank loves her. Yet, an outsider in the form of Lou is able to convince her that her lover is cheating on her. Also, the setting is consistent with the nature of Rahel’s marriage in the novel where it is shown that the marriage is not a happy one.

Another issue that is explored is that of the cold and calculating nature of Lou to get his job done, mostly by crook. The ending shows that Lou had, in fact, been manipulating Rahel the whole time by lying about his occupation. Although his ulterior motives aren’t revealed in the scene, it is clear that he has an antipathy to Frank. Looking at it from the perspective of the movie, the motives become clear. Thus, the issue remains that people are selfish and for achieving their means they resort to manipulative methods irrespective of how that affects relationships.

The setting, circumstances and the characters bring out the issues which are explained above. The ending does the same as we realize that Lou manipulates Rahel and the message to Frank initially was actually from Henry on Lou’s

John Frederick Nims’ “Love Poem” is a poem describing someone he loves. The first line of the poem, “My clumsiest dear, whose hands shipwreck vases”, at first may be interpreted as the start of some form of insult. This line also intrigues the reader to continue and explore what Nims has to say about his “dear”. Though the poem begins by depicting some negative attributes that his love possesses, Nims doesn’t forget to describe her positive attributes, “Only with words and people and love you move at ease”. Overall the poem uses different elements of poetry to portray the idea that although his “dear” has many imperfect qualities, he loves her despite of them all.…

Love, according to Webster, is “a strong affection for another arising out of kinship or personal ties.”. For some, this definition of love expresses the way people develop a mutual understanding of one another to attain a level many are unable to reach. In The Canterbury Tales by Geoffrey Chaucer, the “Knight's Tale” shows that love is greater than any other power. Chaucer composed the tale to convey the idea that love brings about unforeseen outcomes.…
