Employee Motivation In Camp Noah

Improved Essays
My organization, Camp Noah, is a resilience and preparedness day camp that serves elementary age children in communities that have been impacted by disaster and/or crisis. Our mission is to serve children who have been impacted by a traumatic event and/or experience in their own community by engaging and storytelling. The overall problem that our organization works to solve is the uprooting of normalcy and mental impact that the children are experiencing in the long-term recovery stage after a disaster. We have a curriculum that teaches resilience skills and teams of volunteers that allows children to be children and have fun at the same time learn skills to bounce back.
Our mission is completely supported and run by volunteers, thus, volunteers gain the one-on-one experiences with these children that they are serving. Other potential benefits are leadership skills, ownership of their role and impact, reimbursement for certain roles, housing, and meal.

Firstly, for youngsters experiencing childhood in an organized, halfway house sort setting, it is absolutely critical that kids have the capacity to build up a steady, long haul connection to their parental figures. Permitting troops of voyagers to come in and embrace, play and giggle with the children at regular intervals has unequivocally the inverse impact. Pretty much as it was helpful for you as a kid to grow long haul, stable bonds with the general population who nurtured you, so it is essential for those youngsters. To participate in halfway house volunteering is to partake in a cycle of making and forsaking connections that helps no one candidly with the exception of…

I want to be in the Leader's In Training program because Camp Mendocino is teaching youth how to live a healthy life at a young age. This camp helps the upcoming youth live in reality instead of the virtual world and ties into my overall life goal of helping Americans understand what it means to live a healthy life physically and mentally. This is important to me because I have dealt with depression and how unhappy I was with myself as a person. From the negative experience I’ve had with depression I don't want any child or teen feel like they are unworthy of the life they are living. By working with Camp Mendocino I will be helping the youth understand how to have a healthy state of mind by encouraging campers to deal with negative feelings…

Some of the girls felt that the way we run our meetings should be different because we have been doing them the same way since we were in Kindergarten, and we wanted to try something new to keep it interesting and exciting so girls will want to stay in our troop. For my ethnography project I have chosen to research campground workers. Campground workers set up, regulate, and maintain state campgrounds as well as local campgrounds and recreational sites. Staff clean campsites after visitors and make sure that each campground is maintained well and the park is respected properly. Staff include police rangers who also keep the parks and camsites up to date by making sure everyone visiting also respect nature while at the same time enjoy the peace and quiet of nature. The reason I chose to research campground staff is because I thoroughly enjoy camping, hiking, fishing, and other summertime activities.…
