As you know, the academic programs at Emerson College are focused on communication and the arts. Please tell us what influenced you to select your major. If you're undecided about your major, what attracted you to Emerson's programs? Please be brief (100-200 words). With a photographer for a father and a graphic designer for a mother, creativity has been the expectation in my household. However, growing up I was constantly frustrated as I struggled to find the medium to express the creative ideas I have. Enter: fashion. I knew I had —as the Bratz Dolls say—a “Passion 4 Fashion,” but illustration was not my forte. Regardless, I decided to try my luck by taking a class in fashion illustration at FIT. On the first day of class, my professor informed the room that “there is more to the fashion industry that just designing, and more to the art world than being an artist.” This inspired me to go on and try my luck in other areas of creativity; I pursued a course at Parsons Paris called Intro to Design and Management, which introduced me to conceptual thinking. If you were to write the story of your life until now, what would you title it and why? Please be brief (100-200 words).

I am constantly reinventing myself based on the world around me. Thus I am a different person from whom I was even a year ago. Thereby it is impossible to come up with a title that pertains to every version of myself. Hence the title of the story of my life is Kaleidoscope, as I am changing all the time. By titling my story, Kaleidoscope, I can exhibit the different chapters of my life as rotations in the kaleidoscope, forever changing and yet staying within the same vessel. Every chapter in my life is different, and conjures a different image of my identity. As I evolve into new versions of myself, the kaleidoscope that is my life
