It is understood that the purpose of this pilot project is to target a select group of high risk patients and use Mississippi Licensed Registered Nurses who are also Mississippi Certified Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedics (functioning under his/her RN license) to provide assessments in the home of physical environments, social interactions and activities, physical exams, development, implementation and evaluation of plans of care.

Registered Nurse/Paramedics shall function under his/her RN license in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act.
4. Training and documentation for training on the pilot program including the Medical Control interface should be developed.
5. The duration of the Pilot Program should be no longer than 12 months.
Additionally, should AAA decide to move forward in participating with this pilot project the Department would request the following documentation be submitted by the program to this office at the conclusion of the pilot:
1. Patient Interaction Plan: Describe the nature of anticipated patient care and diagnostic interactions acceptability.
2. Training/Educational Plan: Training and/or educational methods will be provided to enable providers to deliver the services described.
3. Medical Direction/Quality Improvement Plan: Describe the agency Medical Director(s) involvement in the service’s operation and its quality improvement program.
4. Data Collection/ Quantitative Reporting: Collect and reference data to demonstrate the impact of this project on the population served.
