My mother Eilana Haim was born on June 14 in the year of 1979. She is the youngest out of three siblings. The oldest in her family is a girl then comes two boys. Her parents and her older sister were born in Russia but her and her brothers were born in Israel in the city of Tel-Aviv. My mother had many good and bad memories from her birthplace, but all in all she was happy she had the opportunity to at least live in Israel for a few years. My mother moved to the United States at the age of eight in the year of 1988. My mother’s family moved out of Israel because her sister got married to someone in the United States and she was struggling a little. For example, she had a miscarriage and her husband had a hard time finding a job. So my mother’s family came to help her out. Another reason why my mother’s family moved out of Israel was because they did not want their sons to be drafted into the army. My mother says this is the best decision their family made to move out of Israel because, once they left Israel they became more religious and more successful. …show more content…
For example, my mother’s father was an engineer for airplanes. Once my mother’s father had a big ceremony made for him because he was granted a higher position in his job. My mother’s family was all so proud and happy for his accomplishment. My mother’s mother worked in a chocolate factory called Elite chocolate. My mother remembers when her mother use to always bring chocolate after work from the factory and give it out to all her siblings.
