In addition, children of unemployed parents have difficulty attending school on a regular bases. This can be a big issue for some students who are looking forward to attending college or university. Being in this situation can have long-term effects on children whose parents are having a difficult time trying to find a different job placement. With all this being taken place towards children whose parents are suffering of being unemployed, it can lead to poor academic achievement, behavioral issues and constantly having a negative mind; which may cause the child to endure violence against other children or teachers. Unemployed parents play a huge role in the physical activity of their children. If a child’s parents are suffering from extended periods of unemployment, it is likely for those parents to not focus on taking their children out to play. This includes taking their kids out to the park or taking their children out to the league games they have registered for, and also constantly missing practice. This is because these parents would much rather focus on trying to look for job opportunities to provide for the basic needs of their family. With this taking place in a child life it makes it really difficult for a child to be physically active. What happens with that is that these children become lazy and constantly stay in front of a TV either watching it or playing video games. With kids being lazy and not having the encouragement to go out and play this causes children to earn awful marks in there physical education (PE) class because of constantly being in that lazy state of mind and not wanting to do anything other then sit in front of the TV.
