Jordan Fraud Case Study

This paper will describe a crisis case with a client by the name of Jordan. The paper addresses Jordan’s concerns using the effective Triage Assessment Form (TAF). TAF addresses the crisis in the following domains (1) affective, (2) behavioral, (3) cognitive. These domains indicate the client’s functionality during the crisis. The TAF calls for the clinician to evaluate and rate the client in the domains mentioned earlier. In the paper the clinician will provide a recommendation for the treatment of Jordan. The clinician will also address the cultural and developmental aspects of the client. The case study presented a lot of information, but did not provide enough. This clinician would start with starting a connection with Jordan. Jordan seems to act like she still does not trust me by the way she continuously stares at the door. This clinician needs to show her that the clinician is helpful and does not propose a threat to her. The clinician needs to show her that he is there to help with the situation and help her solve it. The next task has been completed because Jordan explained the crisis in detail. The clinician would go to task three providing her support. Jordan seems to need some psychological support as evidenced by her discussing that she is fearful. The clinician needs to provide her with some logistical support and social support information. Jordan needs information of places where she can go to feel safe. Jordan suffers from domestic violence and is emotionally a wreck because of the domestic violence. Clinician needs to provide her with domestic violence shelters and if it is okay with Jordan employ the help of her friend to help her in providing a safe place to come if she placed it an uncomfortable situation. Jordan voices that she does not want to call the police, however in clinician’s mind Jordan does not have the proper information to understand the extent of the danger she is in with her husband. The case study does not identify Jordan’s age, so this clinician does not know the life stage that Jordan is in at the present time. This is the reason that the clinician cannot make a clear decision of her developmental issues. The case does not say anything about her socioeconomic status, where she lives or her race and ethnic background. The clinician cannot provide any input in these area either at this time.
