Leadership plays a leading role in bringing the needed changes that are geared towards talent management that has been a major challenge at Navy Child Development Center for several years. The problem has seen top talents leave the organization because of poor management in designing effective strategies, communication, and effective decision-making processes. Effective talent management in an organization marks the interaction where the strategic requirements of the organization congregate with the hopes, as well as aspirations of the individuals that work for the organization (Schwartz 2011, pp. 14). The leaders help the organization restructure and recognize talent management as a “business vital activity” that is aligned with future goals of the organization, as well as business objectives. The primary of the leader is to apply the leadership skills to manage the level of outputs from the talent pipeline and make sure that the talents are aligned with the strategic direction of the organization. It has been established that effective talent management program in an organization should be adaptive and consistently supply to changing market business priorities.
