Effective Communication With Children

Effective communication is important in developing relationships with children so that all the children feel welcome and valued within the school. Children can sense when they are with someone who cares about them so can feel safe and perform to their full potential. You need to sit next to a child on a chair or crouch down to their level to gain eye contact and not give the impression that you have ultimate control as this can make a child withdraw from an activity.
