The majority of these English colonists who became American colonists and rebelled against the English government due to its tyrannical control; they were mainly motivated by economic reasons. The two groups both the American colonists and Mexican peasants were rebelling against their controlling governments. When governments don’t represent the will of their people, the result will be revolts by the people.
