Preschool Observation Observations are a way for future teachers to discover techniques and to prepare them for when they receive their own classroom. For my observation, I choose First United Methodist Preschool. The classroom I visited consisted of fourteen students, a lead teacher, and a co teacher who provided support in guidance and instruction for the students.
• The atmosphere of the classroom was both fun and functional. The walls contained colorful posters and the student’s artwork was displayed on every wall. The classroom gave me a feeling of security therefore I felt the students were comfortable in the environment.
• Teachers have a big responsibly of creating a positive atmosphere in the classroom. A positive

This activity supported the students in learning their colors easily and they really had no idea they were learning.
• The students go to movement once a week in the basement where they exercise together. Dance to songs and an obstacle course was setup. The teacher demonstrated to the students beforehand on what to do and what not do during the obstacle course. The obstacle course consisted of hula hoop jump, slide, jumping on the trampoline, walking across balance beam, 5 jumping jacks, and 2 summersaults on the mat.
• The students did several activities which supported them in learning different kinds of language skills. All the students became excited when it was time to do the letter song, and writing the letter of the week in air with their pointer finger. The teacher also led the students in sign language for saying the day, month, and year from the calendar.
• Teacher team work helped the teachers to remain calm and not overwhelmed when the students were transitioning to other activities. The teacher worked together by taking turns by having one teacher always working with the students while the other would clean up the last activity or assist students to the
