Early Childhood Observation Of Jose

Jose observations were divided into mini sessions, since he became uncooperative in some instances. He willingly went to the observations; however, he expressed anxiousness and shyness. Although he could be attentive and friendly, when asked to complete certain tasks he would become noncompliant. When challenged, Jose would become easily frustrated and complained to quit. However, there were certain assignments where he showed interest and perseverance. For the most part, the child also has poor coping strategies, and is clearly suffering from low self-esteem. It was determined that he exhibits limited patience and suffers from anxiety. When probed with questions about is feelings, Jose admitted he is happy and sad at times. He stated that
