Life is all about relationships. Leadership also is about the relationship - how a leader relates to people around him to influence them. Biblical leadership adds another dimension to leadership by operating on a different level of relationship. Biblical leaders are a different kind of leaders because of how they relate to God and people. First, they willingly admit that they are the followers before they are leaders. They obediently put themselves under the authority of God and his word and follow the greatest leader ever lived, Jesus Christ, who was a different kind of leader and a leader like no other.

The problem is that there is a disconnection between what we know and what we practice. What we know in our heads has to be transferred to our actions every day. How we relate to others on a daily basis is what makes us different kind of the leaders. The way we talk and treat others, the way we make choices, the way we handle problems based on these principles will make people around us to realize that there is something different about our leadership. It is the little things that seem so mundane and trivial sometimes might be the deciding factors in influencing those around us. As leaders, are we making personal choices that are pleasing to God and beneficial to others? Do we care enough for others to correct their wrong choices? Are our actions based on God’s love and not on selfish interests? Is our attitude toward others judgemental or compassionate? Are we seeking God’s approval or men’s? Are we humble in spirit or conceited? Are our attitude and actions reflect the love of Christ and bring others draw closer to God? These are the some of the questions we need to ask ourselves as leaders on a daily basis as we relate to others, and the principles stated in the book definitely guide us to the right direction and
