Dusseldorf, Germany is an extremely successful city that is growing in popularity. Though it may not be discussed with the likes of more noted cities, it does possess many qualities that make it worthy to be my region of choice. Such as a stunning harbor that handles over 3 million tons of goods annually, and its modern industrial architecture which includes the thyssen building to the north of the city Centre (Helicon, 2016). Those examples are few of many that make up the several astonishing features. This paper will examine ten characteristics that accomplish the adequate appreciation of this formidable place. Environment, Location, and regions are important topics to include when elaborating the characteristics of an area. I will discuss how this city has welcoming features. Of course, every region has politics. However, bureaucracy differs throughout the world. Germanys form of government places one person in the position of highest power. The name of this positon is called a chancellor. The current Chancellor is Angela Merkel. She is Germanys first female leader, and has held power since 2005 (marquis who’s who, 2016). Many place significance of famous people who are form the area. Dusseldorf also vaunts rich history with two acclaimed artists in their respective genres. Romantic poet Heinrich Heine, and painter Peter von Cornelius were both born in Dusseldorf, and proceeded to achieve tremendous careers (Helicon 2016). As far as religion, Germany as whole is listed as one third protestant, one third roman catholic, and a small minority of Jews. (Lagasse, 2016).
