Duabi Informative Speech

Decent Essays
For my informative speech I presented Duabi. In order to prepare for my speech, I had to do a lot of research on the city and come up with things people in my class might think would be interesting to learn about. I picked three main topics to talk about and expanded on them quite well in my opinion. I was very nervous presenting because I was afraid that my information was boring and that my class wouldn’t find anything I talked about interesting. Even when I practiced my speech I stumbled on my words. Which made me even more nervous knowing that when I had practiced my speech I messed up a lot and couldn’t quite perfect it. Although I was very nervous I feel like I did well on delivering my content and keeping the pace of my speech even when

Tiffany, I found your post to be very informative. I would like to add that C. diff can become very dangerous according to The Mayo Clinic, it can cause kidney failure and inflammation in the colon. Other symptoms include diarrhea, blood in the stool, weight loss, nausea, and pus in the stool. As you had mentioned in your post C. diff is more prominently seen in patients who’ve been in the hospital and who have been on antibiotics. I found it interesting to read in Science daily that C. diff reoccurs in 20 percent of patients who have suffered from the disease.…

When creating my informative speech, I had to determine when I was presenting this information too which in the case is will be my professor. Then I decide what presentation to use, which in this case this is an informative speech. Before I started, I needed to create a delivery outline for my speech. When creating this outline, I had to think on how to communicate the ideas by trying to convince the audience on how to create and present an informative speech does not take as much time as they think it does. I also had to think about the duration on how much time I have to present my outline speech to the audience, which in this case would be 3-5 minutes long.…

As I approached the podium, it seemed there were thousands of people in the room, my knees were knocking and my heart was pounding, but when I spoke, all of that began to fade away. Despite it not being perfect, I was left with ease and relief. I can recall having a discussion with my parents regarding the anxiety I had they informed me they were quite normal and the only way to improve was to ensure I had a significant amount of experience meaning I had to do it more frequently and that I had full command of the topic. Otherwise I needed practice and to be prepared in order to be a great public…

You are in class one day when the teacher announces a new assignment: students are to research and give an informative speech about any topic of their choosing. As the student, imagine that you are terrified to not only present the speech in front of your entire class, but to have to go through the process of picking a topic, researching it, organizing your speech, and practicing it as well. At the beginning of my communication class, this was how I felt about producing and giving speeches. I was nervous to talk in front of the class because I have always been very shy and have suffered from extreme speech apprehension. I also dreaded picking a topic and organizing my speeches as well, since I could never make up my mind and I was never good…

I sometimes get nervous about what people are thinking about my speech when I am giving it but if I don’t judge people from the audience then I will have the mindset when I am on stage that people from the audience are not judging me. Lastly, I think that I will be able to get up in front of people and give a speech without getting extremely nervous. I haven’t had much experience with speaking in front of big groups but hopefully by the end of this semester I will be very good at it without having any nervous feelings if someone asked me to give a public…
