Drone Flyer Compare And Contrast Essay

Most people compare a book to a movie. However in this Compare/Contrast Essay, Iĺl be comparing the difference between one of the characters actions in the book, to his actions in the movie. Surprisingly, there weren't many differences like there usually is. There are many differences and similarities of the character Asher in the movie versus Asher in the book. I say this because the way there character acts in the movie versus the book is very different. I may find out that there are more differences than I think. The main difference that I found was the job that he was assigned. When I read the book, he was assigned to be the Assistant Recreation Director . However in the movie he was assigned to the Drone Flyer position. This was a major difference for two reasons. First, it changed the ending because without him being a drone flyer, he never would’ve been able to drop Jonas in the waterfall, which is where he was thought to have died. Also, when you are assigned your jobs, you lose your childhood, and you begin doing this job that you'll be doing for the rest of your life. If Asher is assigned to one thing in the book, but assigned to something completely different in the movie, it'll catch your attention. This difference was the fact that Asher turned his back on Jonas. Well at least it seemed as if he did. When Asher starting suspecting that Jonas was breaking the community rules, he got suspicious. So when everyone found out that Jonas was missing they started looking for him.
