Did you know that approximately 90% of traffic accidents are caused from driver error? That means that 90% of traffic accidents are caused from people not paying attention to his or her surrounding and being prepared for anything to happen. That also means that you can easily reduce the amount of traffic incidents by just simply driving defensively. You’re probably wondering what I mean by driving defensively, right? Driving defensively means that you are very aware of your surrounds and prepared for anything to happen. The first and foremost defensive driving technique is thinking about safety first. You want to keep away from aggressive and distractive driving trends. This means you should avoid eating, texting, or reading while driving. These are all distractions that put you at high risk for an accident. You should lock your doors and wear your seatbelt to protect you from being thrown out of the vehicle in the case of an accident.
