Some people say “life's too short to worry about dress codes,” is this true? A sum amount of people believe we should have dress codes in high school so it reduces bullying in school. Others say that dress codes will make high school safer for teen girls and boys. Then again people say “life's too short to worry about dress codes” this is because they believe everyone should be able to express their own style in high school. Also people believe that if there was dress codes, no one would have freedom to wear what they would like. If schools adopt a dress code for students in high school it would become safer and create a conducive environment. Many people believe that dress codes in high school would make high school a lot safer for girls …show more content…
Repressing a student's freedom means that they cannot show off their personality and to show their interests on what they like to do or what their favorite bands are. Many students began to speak out this year agaiinst dress codes taking their freedom away from them. An eigth grader named Frankie Lindsay and three of her friends at Haven Middle School in Evanston, Illinois, said “they dont appreciate being told repetively that their bodies are distractions.” When girls or guys wear clothes they are not allowed to at school they get pulled out of class to change into something different, due to the fact they were being so distracting because they could see a leg. Although many people belive that kids who do not follow dress codes should get disciplines when all they are doing id trying to so off who the real them is. Parents around the world believe that their kids should have to be considered a sex magnet by the way they look because of the clothes they wear. Some school adminastartors around the world believe that repression a students freedom to wear what they want will cause harm to them academically and mentally. Some kids love what they wear becuase it makes them focus and able to be happy by what they are wearing and not worrying about if they fit in or not. Should high schools adopt a dress code?
