Dream Collector And Julio Cortaztar: A Comparative Analysis

When i was twelve years old, me and my friends went to knots for a field trip. When i got to knots i was so scared to get on rides that i walked around the park for about 2 hours looking for a ride that would not scare me, but instead of me finding a ride which was not scary i went on a ride my friends told me to go on. When i was in the line i got so scared that i ran out the line and i got a stomach ache and i called my brother to pick me up. It started as a fun and interesting day with my friends and the it transformed to a horrible day which i will never forget. “The father made a face signaling impatience and the mother shook her head without seeming to move it. For they couldn’t be rude to a guest in their house.”(72). The father in the quote transform for being polite and letting the stranger into the house to being rude and trying to kick the stranger out of the house. In contrast, “the father pushed past her wildest comment and the light flickers.” (74). This is eerie because the lights shined bright and the father and mother seemed happily married before the visitor. Now that the lights flicker and the couple is fighting. Everything is different than it was before.
