Dr. Pepper is the best soft drink in the world. It is made from 23 different flavors. I like Dr. Pepper because with twenty three different flavors you never get the tired of the same flavor because it normally has a different taste in different containers. When you drink it it fills you with joy. Now on to the past and present of Dr. Pepper.

In Waco, Texas in 1885 a name less soft drink that would soon be Dr. Pepper was sold for the first time. With that Dr. Pepper is the oldest soft drink in America. Charles Alderton was the pharmacist who created the drink. This was the birth of the current name-less soft drink.

The “big” change came when they became a partner with snapple and other drinks including obviously Snapple, Dr Pepper, 7UP, A&W Root Beer, Sunkist soda, Canada Dry, Hawaiian Punch, RC Cola, Slush Puppie frozen drinks, Mott's Apple Juice, Clamato, Mr & Mrs T, Holland House mixers, Schweppes Rose's, Mistic, Yoo-Hoo, Orangina, IBC, Stewart's, Nantucket Nectars and other well-known consumer brands. The Dr. Pepper Snapple group is located in Plano, Texas around 25 miles north of Dallas. The flavors are Dr Pepper, Diet Dr Pepper, Cherry/ Vanilla Dr Pepper, Diet Cherry/ Vanilla Dr Pepper, Caffeine-Free Dr Pepper, Caffeine-Free Diet Dr Pepper, Dr Pepper Cherry. Dr Pepper does contain sugar except the diet products which include aspartame. The Dr. Pepper Snapple group or DPS became a company in 2008.

Regular and diet Dr Pepper have the most amount of caffeine with 28mg per 8 fluid ounces. Where the flavored ones like Vanilla, Diet Vanilla Cherry and Diet cherry have 26mg per eight fluid ounce. Finally the caffeine free ones have 0mg per eight fluid ounces. The product ranges from zero to one hundred and fifty calories.
