“We know through painful experience that freedom is never voluntarily given by the oppressor; it must be demanded by the oppressed.” (King 3). In this quote, Dr. King addresses one must fight back for what is right. If your civil liberties are provoked, you must rise too top the oppressor. This a strong quote from Dr. King which I openly agree with because it shows the amount of honor in his words to revolt against the government. Dr. King was flouted by many because he expressed something many were too afraid to do. Freedom is not turn others to your beliefs, but to accept others and their beliefs.

I believe that this quote shows that we do not have yet reached full freedom. We should be erudite about political issues in schools. I say this because these people are judged based of their religion and that show us that we are not free to choose what religion we want and not be judged.
