Dissociative Identity Disorder in Films
Rationale:
My documentary examines how directors have used cinematic elements and techniques to demonstrate the Dissociative Identity Disorder of some characters but also how every character is actually duplicitous. Through some cinematic elements, such as framing, staging positions, the directors show how everybody in the end is split between their good self and their bad self, not just people who suffer from
D.I.D.T The films DR. JEKYLL AND MR. HYDE, SECRET WINDOW, FIGHT CLUB and LORD OF THE RINGS THE TWO TOWERS are what I will be using to prove how directors demonstrate this theory.

Tyler is just a product of his own mind when the Narrator is on the plane .
Same shot from Fight Club.
NARRATOR (good): In this shot the Narrator of Fight Club, which we will refer to as Jack, is on a plane and he is talking to a lady .

NARRATOR (bad): She is sitting in what is soon to become Tyler 's spot. This hints that everything Jack sees is his imagination .
She too is wearing glasses, like Tyler , and as soon as Jack finishes his daydream , he sees a new person sitting next to him . They both have the same suitcase . This hints that both are of the same mind , because they own the same things .
NARRATOR (good) :When Tyler comes in the shot, he starts talking with Jack about the oxygen they give out if the airplane were to crash .
Bad Narrator walks to the T .V screen and behind her we see the T.V as she approaches it.
NARRATOR (bad) : What is very important about this shot is that the audience sees in the background an image of an exit sign.
Camera cuts to the Narrator (good) sitting on the sofa pointing the remote at the T .V
