Mrs. Santiago is 61 years old and lives with her husband, Vicente in Greensburg, PA. Together they has 5 daughters, two live locally (Sara & Gwen) and the other 3 live (Anna, Patricia, & Susan) out of state. Mrs. Santiago is a Episcopalian priest in Donora, PA and worked prior as a Catholic school teacher (Spanish). Mrs. Santiago is currently on medical leave. She had breast cancer in 2012 that resulted in a double mastectomy. Most recently, Mrs Santiago was having pain in her right leg. The doctors later found that the cancer metastasized and formed a tumor on her femur. The tumor weakened her leg and caused her femur to break. She had surgery in May and is currently only 50% weight bearing on her right leg. She uses a walker for short distances. Caregivers need to help Mrs. Santiago at all times with transfers and monitor her mobility.

Mrs. Santiago has a new handicap access bathroom and may need assistance in the shower. Caregivers will need to offer assistance and see how she feels about receiving shower assistance. She will also need help with dressing and grooming. She currently uses the bathroom during the day and may need help getting to and from bathroom, with the partial weight bearing on her right leg her mobility is limited. Santiago handles her own medication, caregivers should monitor and ensure she is taking her medicine. She records when she takes her medicine on a note pad. Her daughter handles her meals. caregivers may need to help prepare a lunch or dinner as needed and help clean up after meals. Mrs. Santiago needs help with housekeeping duties, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and etc. She will also need help with doing laundry. Laundry is located in the basement. Her husband, Vincente handles the grocery shopping and may need help as needed. Caregivers may take client out to help with getting to appointments and help with
