What is a double billing. The double billing is when the patient receives two bills with the itemized list of what kind of procedure they went through.
The reasoning behind denied claims
1. Duplicate claims - resubmitting after not hearing back from the insurance companies.
2. Claim lacks information- their date a birth, name misspelled, address is wrong, and common other mistakes.
3. Eligibility expired- when the insurance is terminated at the time of the appointment
4. Claim not covered by insurer- Procedures that aren't covered under the insurance. Verification is number one when it comes to insurance to make sure their insurance is covering the services.
5. Time limit expired- Sending the claim in a timely manner, for example sending
