Russians appreciate to shake hands tightly and uphold direct eye contact. They avoid shaking hands and giving things across an entrance, a house or room. It is better to cross the entrance completely before shaking a host's hand when received and leaving. It is a good practice to remove gloves when shaking hands else it looks rude to them.

4.1.5 Doing Business in Arab
Arab Nations are considered as wealthy nations and they invest in developing nations with full spirit. Despite this, they are still one of the fastest developing economies. The Gulf State's National Vision 2030 has ensured that Arab nations will remain an attractive venture hub just not only in oil and gas, but also in technology, education and financial services.
Despite quite open for foreign companies, it is not easy for multinational organisations to set up a new business in Arab nations so easily. Therefore, one needs a foreign partner who keeps 51 percent of the ownership with the multinationals. There are a few exceptions to this case where foreign owners may own 100% after seeking permission from Ministry of Business and Trade. However, any investment in the state-run services like water, electricity etc. are prohibited.

I have always been drawn to Russia probably because of the U.S. and Russia’s relationship through the cold war, which lead to a certain mystique surrounding Russia. It’s history is fascinating since Russia developed rather isolated from the rest of the world, but it was exposed to is an interesting mix of European and Asian influences unseen elsewhere in the world. Russian literature has so many masterpieces like Anna Karenina and War and Peace. Russian ballets are second to none; their Olympic gymnasts almost seem unbound by the law of physics. The Russian people seem so passionate and dedicated, yet so unemotional from an American perspective that it makes me curious.…

Tolstoy’s story, “Master and Man,” was expertly written and I enjoyed it greatly. At first glance, the story seems bland with no true meaning but, with deeper insight and careful consideration, it has underlying meanings. To put it mildly, it’s not simply a story about a selfish man and his ‘worker’; it’s a journey not just for the characters in the story, but for readers as well. This story gives readers an accurate glance into Russian culture and way of life. Countless people have extremely biased and stereotypical views about Russia because of how the country is portrayed in our society.…

Many will state that using American tax dollars to fund entrepreneurship and boost employment in MENA is not in the interest of the US public. However, it is important to note that in 2015 alone the US spent $6.2 billion dollars on military operations against ISIS. $1.46 trillion has been spent on Iraq, with the majority of this figure being spent from 2007-2008, in the surge to quash the extremist insurgency groups. While the surge did crush the power of the AQI, the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) quickly took its place as soon as the US withdrew from Iraq. It is therefore obvious that exclusively military operations are not the way to effectively combat the problem of violent extremism taking hold in the MENA.…

My first theme to choose from the fall of the Ottoman Empire to the 2011 against authoritarianism is Zionism. First off, Zionism is the belief that the Jewish people felt that they had a right inherit a rightful state of their own during the end of the 18th and 19th centuries. Jews believed that such a Jewish state should be located around central Europe and even at one time in North America. The decision was later decided that the final resting place was the holy land in Jerusalem, Israel as the Jews viewed this place as the holy land source.…

The Tsarist regime in Russia had begun deteriorating in the early 1900s due to widespread political, social, and economic instability. Both the Russo-Japanese War and WW1 exacerbated the situation, leading to higher levels of discontent amongst the people. Below I will analyse the fall of Tsarist Russia from 3 aspects: the political, social, and economic before and after the wars, and explain how each of these factors played a crucial role in the collapse of the Tsarist regime. The extent of political instability in Tsarist Russia became apparent in the 1900s.…

Superficiality and Hypocrisy: The Case of Dubai Dubai, the rich super-state of the Gulf, has come to enjoy its position as the Middle East’s new cosmopolitan hub, successfully filling in the void that both Damascus and Cairo have left as a result of the Arab Spring. While the Emirate may enjoy fame and glory now, its reputation is only possible due to a carefully calculated effort by its leaders to artificially implant a culture into a placated society. What is worse is the widespread maltreatment and abuse of foreign workers, all chalked up to following cultural procedures rather than a blatant disregard of international human rights practices. These two factors combined with the culture of extravagance permeating the Gulf as a whole project Dubai into a dystopia where the only victors are the Maktoum family. The grandiose…
