The honourable chairman, I speaks as the second speaker for the motion of Man-made law are more superior to Divine law. Therefore, I would stand on the position that Divine law are superior to Man-made laws.
The first submission is that man-made laws are made with personal desire of the maker or enacter.
Man made laws may be implemented in an unjust manner by corrupted person, Lord Acton had once stated “Power tends to corrupt and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Great men are almost always bad men, even when they exercise influence and not authority; still more when you super add the tendency of the certainty of corruption by authority.”
For example, during the reign of King Henry VIII, this is an interesting time in history because Henry VIII had attempted to reform the Christian Church. The Blood money can be accepted by the victims’ relatives in lieu of that person’s life. This is very important because the victim family would be more better to be compensated with money to do justice. This does not mean that money is paid to cover a offence but just that blood money is more important for the victim’s family to cover the cost of funeral and losses of support. For example when the victim was killed and left with children only, it would be more rationale that blood money is better option for the children because children does not have ability to be financially independent, and children will require money to survive and reduce burden for their caretaker.
