I looked at my ragged blue clothes, knowing that I wasn’t where I belong. Tris and Tobias were leaving, and I wouldn’t be going with. Looking at my sister, I saw how much she could help the world. “Are you guys ready to go?” Tobias walked up with his usual swagger. “I’m not going with you guys.” I began to lie about why I would not come with them. Tris engulfed me in a hug. While waving goodbye, I watched them walk off; I turned around and began walking toward the tall glass building that I could see in the distance. As I rifled through my brown bag, I still could not find the map I had placed in there. I thought back to before I left, trying to remember if I had actually put it in my bag, and recalled Evelyn putting my bag down on …show more content…
Caleb, if you are trying to pull anything, you will be in a world of hurt.” “I’m not; I have come to my senses and understand how vital she is to society.” “It better stay that way,” Jeanine stated menacingly.

I ran towards the sector where the Divergent were being held. A struggle was all anyone could hear. Tris came into view. She was fighting as if her life depended on it. “Caleb?” Tris asked, confused. “Beatrice!” I answered back happily. Tris broke free and ran to me. “What’re you doing here? Were you determined Divergent?” “No, I’m helping society, or should I say you're helping society!.” Horror flashed over her face. “What? Let me out! Somebody help me! Come on, Jeanine couldn’t have brainwashed all of you!” “Stop her!” a guard ordered. Tris dove under the guards blocking her path. She swerved around me, but I yanked her shirt back causing her to stay where she was. “I hate you!” she screamed. I heard a spine-tingling crack come from where my nose was and could see stars. “Let me go! Let me go! Caleb, please!” Tris screamed while thrashing against their

“Caleb! What's that?” Jeanine squealed before I had looked at my screen. “Oh my god!” I pushed my chair back. “Caleb, get her here, now!” I nodded my head and ran off. I replayed exactly what I had seen in my head: a live video feed of Tris and Tobias running through the woods, trying to find a safe place.

“Promise me you'll always be the best big brother I've ever had,” Beatrice asked of me. “Of course. Although we are going to different factions, you and Mom and Dad will always be my home. You'll always be stuck with me,” I chucked to lighten the mood, knowing she needed it. “I'm scared.” “Why?” “I don't know what's going to happen. I hate that, the unknown. I don't know if I'll be able to survive or anything. What if I become factionless?” She let out a small sob. “I can't tell you with much confidence that all of those things are wrong, because I don't know either. I hate that I can't console you, Beatrice.” I pulled her in for a hug. “I love you, Caleb.” “I love you, Beatrice, and so do Mom and Dad. And yes, I promise to always be the best big brother ever. I will always look out for your best interest, no matter who is affected and what anyone else

Knight Captain Jona Falx strapped his small sub-machine gun to the back of his snugly fitting Verian uniform as he stepped out of the comfort of the Verian Protection Embassy and onto familiar Cerinian soil. As was his custom and duty every other week, he traveled the insane, but less than time-consuming distance from Veris Alpha to their heavily influenced state planet Cerinia to check on his designated family. The Verian Kingdom and Cerinia’s top tribal leaders established this custom back when the dragonoid people first discovered the telepathic race of various blue furred canids and felids hundreds of years ago.
