Dissolving The Amount Of Sugar In Water

The hypothesis was that as the amount of sugar in the water increased, the amount of time it takes to dissolve sugar would increase. My group’s data from the experiment refutes this hypothesis, because the amount of sugar already present in the water had no effect on the time it took to dissolve. The only variable that changed was the amount of sugar that was already in the glass. Other variables my group attempted to avoid changing was the amount of water in the glass, how much sugar put into the glass, and the speed of mixing and dissolving the sugar. Potential causes of error include stirring at different speeds for each trial, due to human error, and using too much water and not enough sugar. What could have made this experiment better
