Dissemination evidence-based to improve the quality of care has been increasing in nursing care. There are many models and frameworks have developed for practically implementing an up-to-date evidence-based to daily clinical practice. The IOWA evidence-based model is one of those reputation models which mostly apply to deliver the best possible care into clinical practice. Thus, this paper will discuss the IOWA evidence-based model which was applied to improve quality of care of healthy term newborns by implementing skin-to-skin contact (SCS) to the newborn at birth based on the article entitled “Implementing Skin-To-Skin Contact at Birth Using the Iowa Model” (ref).
