Wilson told us what groups everyone got into. My classmates got into butterfly group #1, butterfly group #2, and butterfly group #3. I however, didn’t get into any of those groups. Ms. Wilson put me in a group all by myself. She told my parents is was because I was so behind compared to my classmates and that I would benefit from just having that one-on-one attention. My classmates bullied me the whole year for being in a group myself. They called me the “caterpillar group,” because I didn’t get my “wings” yet. After a couple of weeks of doing all the reading and spelling assignments Ms. Wilson gave me, she sent home a note with me to give to my parents. On the note it suggested I should get tested for Dyslexia and ADHD. Three months later, I got tested. The results said that I have ADHD, Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, Dyscalculia and Mixed Receptive-Expressive Language Disorder. Ms. Wilson was right! However, that didn’t stop Ms. Wilson from teaching me how to read and write the same way as she did before finding out I had learning differences. I heard the song so many times because my younger sister, Juliana, liked going to sleep to Disney soundtracks. So I recognized the tune right off the bat. After watching and singing three songs from the tape, I paused it and rewound it to sing the last three previous songs. After doing this about thirty times, I started recognizing the words on the screen. With the help of Disney music and visual moving picture, I started to recognize and memorize the song, which allowed me to see how word were spelt and read and especially how they could rhyme with each
