Disney Pixar: Movie Analysis

Decent Essays
Disney Pixar conveyed many life lessons or themes in the movie Maleficent ; this movie teaches to be careful for what you say, because sometimes it can’t be taken back. According to the movie, Maleficent put a spell on king stephen's daughter as revenge from betrayal. Because of stephen taking her wings for royalty/king all of this stuff that happened it was the only reason she set a curse on the princess the day there was a ceremony for the newborn baby in the kingdom. This supports the theme because, Maleficent said in the curse that it can never be revoked not even by the earth's strongest power, but when she tried to revoke it she knew it didn't work. Even though she tried to believe it did hoping for the best. Another example found

Disney Pixar has a funny way of captivating their audiences and eliciting emotional responses. So, it’s not surprising they are able to do this effectively with a movie about emotions. Inside Out is an excellent example of a universal film, because it has a wealth of information to share with any field, especially marketing and consumer behaviors. These are some of the observations I blogged in class while watching the film: • Once the perception of the broccoli is changed from gross to enticing (via the classic parent "airplane" trick) Riley's emotions are more willing to allow the food into her system.…

This campaign for Disneyland is particularly interesting, because it doesn’t simply focus on capturing one target audience, but more specifically a bond or connection between two target audience members. This analysis depicts the TV commercial focusing on a father and daughter. Charlotte Mathers is a 16-year old ‘typical teenager’. Preppy, pretty and angelic by nature, she has a thriving social life and is popular amongst her friends, regularly going out with them and documenting their fun via selfie-filled social media accounts. She lives within a ‘nuclear’ family in a friendly, suburban area – and is a good student at school and is active with a few social clubs, such as cheerleading and student council, because she loves to get involved and have fun where she can.…

The poor in American Society are the victims of the social theory referred to as CONFLICT THEORY. The theory explains that the social STRATIFICTION SYSTEM is not functioning properly and the rich benefit more from the governmental decisions at the expense of the disadvantaged, those who rightly need the assistance. This theory is shockingly apparent in the Frontline documentary “Poor Kids”. This film follows the lives of three families’ struggling to deal with life’s most crippling situations the best way they can. The film demonstrates that being poor is not always a question of a PERSONAL PROBLEM related to the ABUSE of drugs or alcohol, but of a SOCIAL PROBLEM with unemployment, lack of job opportunities, and in this particular film, recession.…

Judith Halberstam has a very unique perspective on animated childrens films. She made up her own term called “pixarvolt”. A child’s critical developmental age ranges from the time they are born to about 3 years old. At the age of 2 to 3 months old, the baby “soak[s] up everything in his environment,” and at the age of 2 to 3 years old, he begins to understand “the basic building blocks of relationships,” and “the more complicated aspects of everyday life” (BabyCenter Medical Discovery Board). What are parents teaching their children during this critical developmental stage? Or more specifically, what role does Disney and Pixar play on them?
