In this paper, I will focus on patient safety, the role of the patients and family member in discharge planning and process and homecare, how simulation education can prepare patients and family caregivers. Currently, patients and caregivers are only dictated by the nurse when they go over the discharge process information. Often, patients or family caregivers cannot follow the instructions, since the nurse did have enough time to explain it properly or they were unable to understand the explanation.
