Overview.
Disaster recovery also known as business contingency plan is the ability for a business to be able to deal with any occurring disaster (Snedaker, 2013). We need to know that incase of disasters such data breach it is normally impossible for the business processes to run smoothly. In that case, disaster recovery plan incorporates all the precautions or rather mechanisms that are in place to ensure that effects of a disaster are reduced to enable the business to resume processes quickly and sometimes without the users of the system noticing any discrepancies. In that case, it involves a crucial process of assessing all the needs of the business and its associated processes and coming up with the most effective or rather optimal preventive solution (Snedaker, 2013). At the moment, many organizations are implementing technology in various business processes and, as technology evolves, systems are becoming very complex. As part of risk assessment team, he ensures proper identification of security risks, developing standards and policies as well as ensuring proper enforcement of the set procedures and policies. CISO is the overall manager when it comes to forensic investigations and the associated electronic discoveries. In this case, he carries out assessment of all the potential risks before going ahead to provide a viable solution or rather mitigation plan to the underlying threat (Niemimaa, 2016).
