In addition, it can be analyzed quickly, surveys can be constructed and generalized to the entire population, and these results can assist in assuring one in making solid plans for the future ("Pros and Cons of Quantitative Research", 2014). The disadvantages of quantitative research is that one needs a large amount of respondents as the larger the sample the more accurate the data collected will be when analyzing results. In addition, quantitative research is more costly than qualitative research, which may limit one use of it depending on the budget allowed for the research ("Pros and Cons of Quantitative Research", 2014). Quantitative research is best used when one is conducting a study about a hypothesis on a huge amount of people. If this were not the case then one would benefit from using the qualitative method. In addition, it is important to have a "full understanding of interviewing people, budgeting one 's money, and time when using quantitative methods as it may take months or years to finish the study" ("Pros and Cons of Quantitative Research", …show more content…
How long have you been receiving SNAP benefits?
Have you ever abused the benefits?
What motivated you to abuse the benefits?
Do know others who have abused the benefits as well?
Do you see it as unethical to abuse these benefits?
By asking these types of questions and observing people first hand one could understand better, why people are on the program, and what motivates them to abuse the program if they have done so in the past. Moreover, does the time that one relies on the program for help increase or decrease the risk of abuse of the SNAP benefits. Answering these questions would give me a better understanding of my quantitative data findings (Davie, 2011). The quantitative data that I would use for my project would be by handing out surveys at the same grocery stores that was short and easy to fill out quickly and possibly offering some sort of incentive to take this survey. This would guarantee that people would fill them out on the spot. To make certain that one gets reliable data the survey questions would have to be carefully constructed and pilot tested on a sample group to make sure we are measuring what we intended to measure and that it is right for the target group ("Data Collection Methods",
