The participants were twenty adolescent women aged between 14 and 18 years old. All the participants were married and the mean score of marriage duration was 2 years. The most of them primigravid, housekeeper and educated eight years (middle school). At the time of the interview, the gestational age of two women was under 14 weeks, four women were between 14 and 28 weeks of gestation, nine women were higher than 28 weeks of gestation and five women were in the postnatal period (maximum of one week after delivery). The mean score of participants' spouse age was 25 years. All spouses were self-employee and the most of them were educated up to 12 years (diploma degree).

Participants perceived that pregnancy lead to feelings of independence, ownership a child, self-esteem, proud of their reproductive ability, prove their ability of nurturing and looking after a child alone. In this regard, one of the participants said, "When I felt the first movement of my child, I had a special feeling. Now, I'm really a mother, I felt proud, I am nurturing a person in my body and I am going to add a person to the community". (P7; 15 years old; 32 weeks of gestation). Another participant said, "now, I become a mother, it is a very good feeling, the child belongs to me and I am the owner of a child, I must look after him,…, always I try to be independent from my family and now, I feel I become more independent". Another participant added, " I feel, I'm growing up, I'm going to be a mother soon…, I must manage everything for my child,…, I ought to plan for the future life of my child". A woman interviewed two days after delivery expressed that "I think I must to be an independent woman, I want to do everything for my child by myself, I do not need any ones helps, I want to have a job and spend money for my child".
