What is the digestive tract?
The digestive tract is also known as the gastrointestinal tract, or the (GI) tract. This (GI) tract is a bunch of organs that are mainly hollowed and they twist in a tube-like shape. This tube goes all the way from the mouth to the anus. The organs that make this up is the:
-mouth - esophagus -small intestine -large intestine -and the stomach
How does it work? Food first enters through the mouth. The mouth is also called or known as the oral cavity. Next the teeth and saliva in your mouth work together. Your saliva makes the food very moist and your teeth grind all the food up.
Then we swallow our food and it goes down the throat
