In the Thelma and Louise story, both of the mothers worked part time so that they could also be home for their kids throughout the day. An example from one of my favorite TV shows applies to this situation. In the show Modern Family, there are a set of gay parents named Mitchell and Cameron. They adopted a daughter from Vietnam named Lily. While Lily was growing and still today in the show. Mitchell was always the one that went to work and had a full time job, while Cameron was the one that chose to not work anymore and stay home to nurture and coddle Lily. There were a lot of good points that were made regarding the children’s lives when having lesbian parents. This article truly shows that there are significant differences between and heterosexual relationship and a lesbian relationship. The stories of each lesbian couple is able to give us an in depth look at the challenges and benefits that the kids of the lesbians have while growing up. This article shows us that lesbians can be parents just like those in a traditional relationship and perhaps even better ones. However, in the end this article tells us that lesbians truly are blurring the boundaries and transforming the meaning of parenthood and
