These observations in structure tell us that the species walked on both their hands and feet which also tells us how they lived and moved around. Another trait that is similar between all the species is that the hand structure and especially the metacarpals all have a grasping like structure this tells us that all species are able to grasp things such as food or tools within their lives in order to survive. Both these traits would be due to homology because they all are have the same structure and relation creating the traits to be passed down from generation to …show more content…
One thing about tarsiers that I found to be interesting was their hands and how they were much like human hands will grasping like features and very long fingers, in one of the videos the tarsier climbed up a tree by grasping the branch with its hands and feet to climb up. In many of the videos we watched the tarsiers were often by themselves or with their young when with their young the offspring would cling to them and they would clean out their fur by licking or picking through it. Geladas on the other hand are much larger monkeys to were often in groups of four or more, this species was very furry and had a long tell as well for me they almost resembled the look of a lion in a small way. Geladas make short loud barking like noises to each other, they seemed to be a more playful and aggressive species by charging and running at each other as well as flipping their lips up to see their teeth. I also observed that like the tarsiers the geladas offspring cling to the mothers as if they are a jungle gym and the geladas also pick through their
