Attaining perfection would be impossible because everyone’s idea of it, in their own mind, is completely different. Following one person's perception of it almost always results in rebellion. For example in 1984 Winston (and Julia) rebelled against the party through thought crime, “ His pen had slid voluptuously over the smooth paper, printing in large neat capitals DOWN WITH BIG BROTHER…”(Orwell 23). People would get bored and there would naturally be competition. It is human nature to want to be better than someone else. It would be hard to enjoy life and have reason for living because individuality is what makes life interesting. For example in “Harrison Bergeron”, “Nobody was better looking than anybody else.
