A leader doesn’t give up on hard task and pushes to be an example for their peers. I have demonstrated my leadership in and out of school by being a responsible, honest and hardworking individual, who expresses empathy to help those who didn’t think they could achieve a goal on their own. While in high school I have been in multiple extracurricular activities such as Drill Team, FBLA, FCCLA, Student Council, Class Treasurer, NHS and Yearbook.…

A school club that has built a legacy on students who exemplify the ideals of leadership, service, character, and citizenship. To even be considered for a group of this nature would be an honor within itself. True leadership is simply more than being bossy and I have learned this through my experiences within boy scouts.…

Basic traits that an effective leader must possess are; self-awareness, self-control, motivation and…

Effective leadership could contribute to the success of change. Leadership plays an important role in mobilizing organizational change, as can be seen in the Kodak case. However, it cannot be easily concluded that traits alone are sufficient for effective leadership or the absence of some of these traits make them any less leader, because trait theory ignore the interaction between leaders and their followers as well as other situational factors (Robbins and Coulter, 2002).…

The behavioral/ style approach focuses on specific behaviors of a leader and not their traits. Therefore the behavior of a leader determines their success. The writer uses this approach to show that anyone can become a leader at any given time, provided they learn the most appropriate behavioral response to a particular problem. The contingency theory is another approach. I understand that it emphasizes on both the leader’s personality and the situation in which the leader operates.…
