Amusement parks and weddings are not usually thought of as similar places or functions. The “I do’s” said at a wedding ceremony do not exactly correlate with the screams and thrills of an amusement park. But aside from all the obvious differences; the home of screams and thrills and the ultimate ceremony of love have more in common than meets the eye. Amusement parks are the home of roller coasters while weddings are a symbol of ultimate love, both roller coasters and love share similar qualities that are often overlooked. Love is more than just a feeling people talk about, it’s a state of mind, a process, and an unexplainable experience all in one. Meeting a person who may potentially be “love” material is not always as easy as it seems in the movies. Falling in love is usually a very scary experience for most people. The idea of placing all that one is; one 's imperfections along with all the positive qualities that define one 's self, can be seen as a great risk by many. The fear of “falling” is more usual than not, always associated with the risk of “falling”. These fears and risks usually come from deep within and are defined as the fear of rejection and risk of heartbreak. These fears lead to much contemplation over the subject and as is human nature will lead to a multitude of over analyzed questions. Does the other person feel the same? What if the other person does not feel the same? Are feelings invested? What will happen? Will it be everything that was imagined? What if it is not? Will it be awkward? Will it ruin the friendship? These are typical fears that arise when taking the risk of falling in love. Yet, nothing can quite compare to the feelings and emotions that come with falling in love.
