This research paper will discuss the healthcare profession of a Dietitian. In words of the Amir Khan’s of publication of an article in the ‘Health.Usnews’, “America's waistline continues to expand, according to a study published today in The Lancet. The obesity epidemic remains the biggest public health issue facing the country, and despite awareness of the need to get in shape, more than a third of the country is now obese.” Dietitians are often referred to as RDs (registered dietitian), they can also be confused and mentioned with other occupations such as nutritionists. Dietitians apply the principles of nutrition and meal preparation. Other occupations that work and interfere with the work of dietitians are ‘Dietetic Technicians’. According …show more content…
A higher success may be approached with personal qualities like compassion towards patients and involvement. According to Bridges’ Winthrop University Intern Handbook (2014), there is a justification of dietetics, when going through work experience it is crucial to develop professional aspects and to increase coverage to the education of nutrition, including more health-related activities, and organization methods. When going through communication to students in an academic setting, it helps ease the transition of the pupils by having a hands-on work experience. This career is filled with much personal interaction and attributes requires are good mutual skills. Furthermore, dieticians are known for their good judgment and absorption of their patients and they actually take a personal interest in nutrition.
